140 character limit lifted on Twitter Direct Messages

It’s official, Twitter direct messages can now be as long as you like! It’s been a long time coming and we’ve all been there when we’ve been trying to cram as much info as possible into 140 characters or less!

The decision to lift the 140 character limit is an attempt from Twitter to make “the private side of Twitter even more powerful and fun”

We have to agree with them, we think it’s a great move from Twitter on the private side, reports say that on the public side of things “Tweets will continue to be the 140 characters”
